Please read the following important information
Rest assured Starlight Ultrasound operates as a clinic and adheres to strict cleaning and infection control protocols as standard even before the current situation came about with sufficient hand-washing and hand sanitising facilities, twice-daily deep cleans and cleaning of equipment before and after every single appointment.
But additional measures have been and are being taken to ensure the ongoing health and safety of staff, customers and users of our services
The Government have advised against non-essential socialising and this includes pregnant women
There has been no instruction for pregnant women to self-isolate other than if they are displaying symptoms of coronavirus, as with the rest of the country
With this in mind, we have no intention to close or cancel any services or forthcoming appointments.
Be Aware of Latest Guidance
However we would like to refer everyone to the latest information on coronavirus.
And the stay at home advice issued by the Government.
Specifically for pregnant women please also see the jointly-issued guidance from the Royal College of Midwives, the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health, Public Health England and Health Protection Scotland. This will continue to be updated so please refer back to it as new information comes to light.
What to expect at Starlight Ultrasound
We will be taking the following additional steps to ensure we remain a safe, clinical environment providing a vital service to local people:-
- Compulsory hand sanitising on entry for all visitors to our premises
- Our door will remain locked throughout our opening hours and we reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone; and to ask any visitor to leave the premises if we feel it is in the interests of the health, safety or wellbeing of our staff or customers.
- Whilst we have never limited the number of people allowed into the scan room, we respectfully ask you to consider the number of people accompanying you to the appointment and if you can reduce the numbers.
It is important customers requiring the services of Starlight Ultrasound can attend their appointment with the confidence there is no higher risk of infection.
if you have any questions or concerns please email or phone us but we are very much staying open to serve those who need and rely on us.
