At any point during your pregnancy FROM 16 WEEKS for reassurance you can arrange for a midwife to listen in to the fetal heart with a handheld Doppler at our premises.

Should you wish to have an antenatal check with a Registered Midwife in addition to (or instead of) your NHS midwife checks you may do so at our premises.

An antenatal check with a Registered Midwife to include blood pressure, urine check, bump measurements along with an ultrasound scan performed by a Clinical Specialist Sonographer.

Non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) uses cell-free DNA (cfDNA) derived from the pregnancy to evaluate possible chromosomal conditions in a pregnancy. NIPT is a prenatal chromosomal screening test that can be performed as early as 10 weeks of pregnancy using a single blood draw.  

We offer the Illumina VeriSeq v2 NIPT for £425 (which has replaced Harmony) with a complimentary courier service to take your sample directly to the UK-based laboratory for speedier turnaround which is usually 5 working days.  We also offer IONACare (£450-£515) which has additional SCA and AA tests (costing an extra £65 so costing £515 in total) - IONA's lab is in Manchester and if sample is hand delivered can return results in 2-3 working days.

Price for both Illumina VeriSeq v2 and IONA NIPTs includes the blood test and an ultrasound scan with scan prints.

Standard availability applies within a 4-mile radius of Starlight’s premises in Bury town centre and Hale village with full payment required on booking. Additional charges apply including out of hours or additional travel time but Laura covers Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire and elsewhere on request so please check with us.

We offer a range of fertility and pregnancy related blood tests, swabs and other tests, with a complimentary courier service taking your sample direct to the lab in Manchester and many services have a 4-hour turnaround meaning same-day results.

You may book any test with a £25 deposit and the balance is payable in clinic. Please confirm the tests you require prior to attending your appointment.
