Support for Pregnancy Loss or Complications

Unfortunately pregnancy doesn't always go to plan. Miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy and still-birth, along with pregnancy abnormalities and complications can result in trauma, confusion and upset.

Whilst the team at Starlight Ultrasound are here to help and support you, we also want to sign-post some additional useful organisations.

The Lullaby Trust

The Lullaby Trust provides emotional support for bereaved families, promotes expert advice on safer baby sleep and raises awareness of sudden infant death.

Birth Trauma Association

The Birth Trauma Association is a charity that supports women who suffer birth trauma, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after birth.

Miscarriage Association

The Miscarriage Association was founded in 1982 by a group of people who had experienced miscarriage and they continue to offer support and information to anyone affected by the loss of a baby in pregnancy, to raise awareness and to promote good practice in medical care.

 

Bliss

Ectopic Pregnancy Foundation

The Ectopic Pregnancy Foundation is a charity launched in 2004 to raise awareness for one of the biggest causes of maternal mortality in the UK. Their goal is to raise awareness of the signs, symptoms and risk factors amongst society.

The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust

The EPT provides information, education, and support to those affected by ectopic pregnancy and to the health professionals who care for them.
