This scan assesses the size, outline and structure of the:-

• liver
• billary system
• gallbladder
• pancreas
• spleen
• kidneys
• urinary bladder

This is also suitable for a young person's pelvis scan to assess:-

• ovaries
• uterus
• endometrium

This scan looks for and reports on the appearance of :-

• cysts
• masses
• stones
• polyps

For an abdominal scan the child will be required to fast for 4 hours prior to the appointment and attend with a full bladder. For pelvis only (females) scans fasting from food will not be required but a full bladder is still necessary.

A written report and accompanying digital images are provided the same day as the appointment.
