When it comes to diagnosing abdominal issues, ultrasound is one of the most valuable tools available to medical professionals. An abdominal scan at Starlight Ultrasound is suitable for men and women and can be booked at either clinic location without a GP or Consultant referral. Same day reports provided following scan appointments.

An anatomy scan can be booked at either of Starlight Ultrasound's clinic locations with our real-time availability shown online. 

This scan usually takes place around 20 weeks with the recommended gestation between 18 weeks and 20+6 weeks. However this scan can be performed earlier (and also later if necessary) than the recommended gestation.

Scans are performed by qualified sonographers and you can choose to book with Laura Gardner, who is a clinical specialist sonographer and a senior registered midwife.

To hear baby's heartbeat for the first time, or if you want a heartbeat teddy with a recording of baby's heartbeat, you have to be at least 10 weeks into your pregnancy. 

At any pregnancy ultrasound scan appointment where the pregnancy is at least 10 weeks the sonographer can let you hear baby's heartbeat.
